Current Opportunities:
Night Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in getting product ready to be delivered for the next day
- Discussing special instructions with appropriate teams
- Combining plants and bouquets to match the given count sheets
- Ensuring that all product is accounted for if something is missing
- Making sure each pallet is secured properly
- Making sure all boxes are in an acceptable dry condition before being loaded
- Taking all necessary measure to ensure the orders are assigned on the allocated truck and are loaded safely
- Maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the warehouse is in better condition than when you arrived
- Applying stickers when necessary
- Notifying teams dispatch of any product shortages, or truck changes
- Ensuring product is properly rotated
- Unloading and the loading of trucks when needed
- Receive and sort incoming product
- Work with Transport and cross-dock product
- Organizing paperwork for all drivers leaving next day
- Supervise and instruct personnel
- Scheduling employees and requesting extra help when needed
- Other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Experience operating a forklift with a valid forklift license is an asset
- Safety-conscious mindset.
Warehouse Stager
Responsibilities:
- Quality assurance of out-going orders
- Scanning and confirming out-going orders
- Some lifting required
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset
- Team player
- Available 1 pm to 6 pm (hours may vary slightly) and some Saturday shifts required before seasonal holidays
- Attention to detail
- Fluent in the English language
- Safety conscious mindset.
Route Sales Representative
Responsibilities:
- Using a Northland truck, you will travel to pre-assigned customers to sell, deliver, and merchandise Northland Floral products
- Manage truck and store inventory to maximize sales, ensure freshness and quality while managing waste
- Work to identify changes to customer needs using provided sales data and react accordingly
- Build strong relationships with store management to help aid in the growth of sales
- Have a growing understanding of executing in-store planograms and store procedures
- Executing hands on activities with excellence, including but not limited to managing product placement on shelves, working to obtain off shelf displays during key holiday times, handling, opening, and returning cardboard shipping boxes, cleaning/maintaining display fixtures
- Use a provided handheld device to record orders, waste, submit daily photos, receive provided sales data and communicate with managers
- Load and unload truck in a safe and organized manner
- Follow all shipping and receiving procedures in store and in warehouse
- Follow all Northland Transport and Ministry driving guidelines
- Follow an early morning start time (approximately 6 am)
- Follow a 4-day work week, 40-45 hrs., holiday time may require additional hours
- Can work as a collaborator while being independently motivated
- Openly accept additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- A valid G license at a minimum
- Clean driving record; Drivers abstract required
- Ability to carry/lift/push/pull 30-60 lbs
- Strong verbal communication skills
- An understanding of electronic devices and various functions is an asset
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for periods of time
- Previous sales experience is an asset but not a requirement
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
Senior Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the following day-to-day financial operations within the Company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
- Assist the accounting team and ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
- Uphold compliance in the organization with all financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, annual budgets, and forecasts/accruals
- Assist in implementing and tracking of company KPIs and functional department metrics
- Assist with quarterly review and annual year-end process with external accountants
- Participate in influencing business growth, direction, strategic planning, etc
- Assist with the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
- Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
- Investigating, monitoring, and communicating with the sales department
- Present a professional image to customers, vendors and fellow employees at all times
- Identify opportunities to optimize transportation for cost and service to customers
- Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA a plus

2-3 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis

Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actional information
- Knowledge of financial reporting
- Strong demonstrated use of Microsoft Applications.
Senior Software Developer
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of Northlands internal/external systems
- Automation of manual processes
- Support staff with IT related questions/issues/general end user support
- Site security configuration
- Deploying user workstations.
Skills:
- Ability to successfully navigate the following core technologies: MySQL, MS SQL, Pervasive RDBMS, HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, Axios, Vue/Vuetify, K8S/Docker.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in computer programming/computer science, with 3+ years’ experience preferred
- Be able to work individually or with a with a team of IT professionals in designing, developing, and testing programs to support our various units and internal operations
- Knowledge of border processes/data submission is an asset
- Knowledge of PLC programming or systems integration is an asset
- Knowledge of Git is an asset
- Good rapport with staff as well as outside vendors

Sales Support/CSR
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process customer transactions.· Generate invoices for customer orders
- Generate new and repeat sales by providing product information in a timely manner
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
- Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications and in-stock items
- Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
- Contact customers following sales to ensure on-going customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint
- Meet sales and productivity goals
- Present a professional image to customers, vendors and fellow employees at all times
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer files
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and planning skills; attention to detail
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft applications
- Exemplary sales experience is preferred.
