Careers at Northland Floral:
ROUTE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using a Northland truck, you will travel to pre-assigned customers to sell, deliver, and merchandise Northland Floral products
- Manage truck and store inventory to maximize sales, ensure freshness and quality while managing waste
- Work to identify changes to customer needs using provided sales data and react accordingly
- Build strong relationships with store management to help aid in the growth of sales
- Execute store planograms adhering to store and Northland procedures
- Execute tasks with excellence, including but not limited to managing product placement on shelves, gain off shelf displays during key holiday times, handling, opening, and returning cardboard shipping boxes and cleaning/maintaining display fixtures
- Use a provided handheld device to record orders, waste, submit daily photos, receive provided sales data and communicate with managers
- Load and unload truck in a safe and organized manner
- Follow all shipping and receiving procedures in store and in warehouse
- Comply with Northland Transport and Ministry driving guidelines
- Follow an early morning start time (approximately 6 am)
- Follow a 4-day work week, 40-45 hrs., holiday time may require additional hours/days
- Collaborate with colleagues and store staff to drive sales while being independently motivated
- Openly accept additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
- College diploma or trade school equivalent.
- Previous experience is an asset but not a requirement
- Minimum 5 years driving – G license
- Clean driving record: Driver's abstract required
- Mandatory drug testing
- Ability to carry/lift/push/pull 30-60 lbs
- Strong verbal communication skills
- An understanding of electronic devices and various functions is an asset
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for periods of time
- Service-oriented disposition
- Previous sales experience is an asset, but not a requirement
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
FULL-STACK DEVELOPER
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design & Architecture: Work directly with other departments to gather requirements and define scope to implement a variety of projects that integrate with our proprietary ERP.
- Frontend Development: Develop responsive web user interfaces using Nuxt 4, Vue & Vuetify 3.
- Backend Development: Create scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js, Express.js and Nuxt 4 server routes that connect to Postgres, MS SQL Server, Redis & external 3rd party APIs.
- Database Management: Interface with and manage a variety of SQL databases including PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server, MySQL.
- Deployment: Automated CI/CD pipeline deployment of application updates.
- Performance & Security: Write code that is scalable, stable, secure, and performant.
- End User Support: Occasional support & setup of end user hardware
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Developer. Diploma or degree in computer programming/computer science. Must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Frontend Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, and modern JS frameworks (Nuxt 4 & Vue 3 preferred).
- Backend Skills: Solid experience with back-end languages (Node.js/Express.js, Nuxt 4 server API, PHP).
- Database Skills: Strong SQL and database design skills with focus on Postgres & MS SQL Server.
- Tools: Comfortable using VS Code with CoPilot, Git/GitHub, Docker, K3s, and RESTful API development.
- Collaboration: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
